There are holidays throughout the year that highlight the importance of family, freedom and our ability as Americans to take part in the persuit of happiness. However, few holidays honor those who make those luxuries possible by committing their lives to the protection of our freedom, and the preservation of American ideals.
We owe our highest gratitude to the veterans of our armed forces. These men and women represent the very best of this nation. Today we honor those who embody America’s dignity, integrity and honor by celebrating their triumphs and sacrifices, and showing our most sincere gratitude.
