Lambda Partners with Lambda Theta Alpha for Sexual Assault Awareness Month

ENGAGING NEW VOICES…

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, which calls attention to the fact the sexual violence is widespread and impacts every person in this community. The theme of this year’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month’s campaign is, “Engaging New Voices.” The campaign calls on new partners and community members to help expand sexual assault prevention efforts and ensure the next generation fosters attitudes that promote healthy relationships, equality, and respect.

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. have joined forces as Greek Leaders in Uniting Against Sexual Assault. While April is designated as the official Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we encourage all of our members to engage in this conversation year round.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center is a great place to find resources to help your chapter with event planning, media campaigns, and other forms of educational platforms to engage members of your campuses/communities in the conversation around how to prevent sexual assault. • Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.
Alexis Richbourg, Director of Risk Management at
  • Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.

Furthermore, we will be providing further education on the topic of Sexual Assault and how to engage in prevention through a webinar for all of our members. More information will be sent out once we solidify the date and time with our guest speaker/s.

We are excited about this partnership and hope that your entity is able to join us in Uniting Against Sexual Assault to “Engage New Voices” in the conversation. If you have any additional questions about this campaign please email your respective representative (information found above).
