The Committee on Social Activism (COSA) promotes the mission, visions and values of the organization on issues that are important to the Hispanic/Latino community in the United States. While the committee will not take a stance on specific legislation, the committee will educate its members on the important issues facing our community and will educate them on an issues that would benefit the majority of our members, their families, and our community.

Brothers from across the country sent over 95 letters to Congressional leaders to support Immigration Reform in 2017. Lambda Theta Phi launched their #Lambdas4Reform Initiative in Summer 2016 and has several other initiatives planned this year, including Lambdas on the Hill in April 2017 with Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc.
This week has been tough for many of us across the United States, specifically those in the Black community. COSA has some steps you can take to process last week’s events.
Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s split decision on Thursday, many members of the Fraternity found it necessary for the organization to draft a resolution speaking out against the federal government’s continued complicit support of policies that divide families, endanger human beings and the stability of immigrant communities.
We stand in solidarity with all the undocumented students, including our brothers, who are constantly affected by the many broken promises of our country.
